Kilkenny Voluntary Housing Association: Property & Development Coordinator

Kilkenny Voluntary Housing Association CLG (KVHA) in conjunction with the Good Shepherd Centre (GSCK) is an Approved Housing Body with almost 160 properties in management across Kilkenny. Having grown from a emergency hostel and transitional housing scheme of 8 units in Kilkenny city, they currently own and manage approximately 160 homes for social housing tenants in the city and county. A development programme currently has 8 approved sites and 25 one of housing acquisitions at sale agreed across Kilkenny City and County. This includes general needs housing, housing for people with disabilities, and housing for the elderly. KVHA also caters for people who have experienced chronic homelessness through supporting the Regional Housing First Programme. In conclusion 2018 GSCK commenced a new homeless preventative service called START for people with mental health issues, supported by the Service Reform Fund.

KVHA is experiencing substantial growth at present and has identified the need to establish a number of senior roles to manage the strategic direction of the organisation as well as manage its day-to-day operational matters. KVHA is committed to high quality and maintaining the good levels of tenant satisfaction reported year-on-year. To ensure that it can continue to maintain the pace of its expansion and high quality customer service to its tenants, the organisation is seeking a Property & Development Coordinator.

Property & Development Coordinator

Reporting to the CEO, the Property & Development Coordinator will be responsible for the development programme of KVHA.  In addition, the role will maintain a strategic overview of ordinary and cyclical maintenance for the partner organisations. Including day to day repairs, cyclical and planned maintenance, and service contracts. The post-holder will ensure housing management services are compliant with all regulations and relevant legislation and are delivered in accordance with the requirements of KVHA policies and procedures.

KVHA are seeking someone with exceptional experience in construction and maintenance and a proven record of asset management. The Property & Development Coordinator will need to be strong in their interaction with tenants and stakeholders, but still act in a warm, empathic and customer-focused manner. Additionally, the post-holder will have experience of working in a team setting where they have made successful contributions to an organisation’s growth.
