The CCMA has recently published its finalised Code of Practice for the AHB Allocations Process. Delays and difficulties in the receipt of nominations from local authorities has frequently been an issue for some ICSH members. This code of practice, which was developed by a working group comprising local authorities, AHBs, the CCMA, LGMA and ICSH, aims to put in place a consistent and effective method of communication for local authorities and AHBs to ensure appropriate nominations are received in a timely fashion.
It is recommended that all AHBs and local authorities familiarise themselves with the code of practice and the supporting appendices to ensure a more streamlined nominations and allocations process:
