The ICSH delivers the CIH Certificate in Housing course in partnership with the CIH Housing Academy and commencing in January each year.
2024 is the tenth year of delivery for this course which is aimed at people working for a number of years in housing either at management level or hoping to move up to management level. It is also aimed at people working in housing who wish to gain a formal housing qualification having gained experience through working in the sector, and professionals wishing to make the move into the social housing sector. The course is a UK Level 4 which is equivalent to an Irish Level 6 on the NFQ which is Advanced or Higher Certificate level.
The course is delivered through blended learning – a combination of teaching days delivered through Zoom and self-directed learning supported by online resources.
Please find attached the course brochure for the Certificate in Housing as well as the course application form. If you wish to book a place on the course, please return the completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org. All bookings are subject to the CIH Housing Academy terms and conditions.
Closing Date and Offers
Please note that this course is very popular, and places are limited. The closing date for receipt of applications is November 1st in the preceding year.
Offers of a place on the course will be made after that date based on applicants who best meet the criteria of who this course is aimed at – people working for a number of years in housing either at management level or hoping to move up to management level or else those who wish to gain a formal housing qualification having gained experience through working in the sector. Course places can only be confirmed on a formal offer of a place from the ICSH and on receipt of payment of course fees.
Should you have any queries, please contact Lyndsey Anderson on 01 6910897 or at email@example.com.
The fee for the course is €1,950 and there is a bursary available to assist with course fees available through the Housing Agency. The Bursary Scheme supports students and housing professionals seeking to enroll in housing studies. The bursary awards are intended to support those who would otherwise be unable to secure funding for the full course fees from their organisation or other sources.
Please ensure that if you apply for the bursary to the Housing Agency, that you also send your course application directly to the ICSH also.
All details, including a short application form, are available at the following link: Housing Education Bursary Scheme 2023/2024. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any queries about the bursary or contact email@example.com for any queries about the course itself.
