The ICSH delivers the CIH Certificate in Housing course in partnership with the CIH Housing Academy and commencing in January each year.

The course is aimed at people working for a number of years in housing either at management level or hoping to move up to management level. It is also aimed at people working in housing who wish to gain a formal housing qualification having gained experience through working in the sector, and professionals wishing to make the move into the social housing sector. The course is a UK Level 4 which is equivalent to an Irish Level 6 on the NFQ which is Advanced or Higher Certificate level.

The course is delivered through blended learning – a combination of teaching days delivered through Zoom and self-directed learning supported by online resources.

The next delivery of this course will begin in January 2025 and the course brochure and application form will be available in September. If you have any queries about the course, please contact Catherine McGillycuddy at catherine@icsh.ie

Course fees will be confirmed once the course brochure is available. There will again be a bursary for course fees available through the Housing Agency. The Bursary Scheme supports students and housing professionals seeking to enroll in housing studies. The bursary awards are intended to support those who would otherwise be unable to secure funding for the full course fees from their organisation or other sources.

Please ensure that if you apply for the bursary to the Housing Agency, that you also send your course application directly to the ICSH also.

All details, including a short application form, are available at the following link: Housing Education Bursary Scheme 2024/2025. Contact training@housingagency.ie for any queries about the bursary or contact catherine@icsh.ie for any queries about the course itself.
