Focus Ireland – Community and Tenants Relations Officer, Property

Community and Tenant Relations Officer – Property

Location: Dublin

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00

About the Role

Focus Ireland has pioneered the innovative Meascán Model of intentional social mix, helping to create communities that include people with lived experience of homelessness. “Meascán”meaning mixtureor blend in Irish, reflecting the model’s goal of integrating diverse households—including those with complex support needs—into shared housing developments. It is Ireland’s first intentional social mix housing model.

Unlike traditional housing models where formerly homeless individuals are placed anonymously into existing communities, Meascán ensures that all tenants are informed in advancethat some neighbours may have experienced homelessness. This transparency helps foster understanding and reduces stigma.

The Community and Tenant Relations Officer plays a vital role in this model, working collaboratively with tenants,  property teams, and other stakeholders to foster sustainable, inclusive communities. This role helps people, families, and communities understand what they need, what they’re entitled to, and how they can make the most of opportunities. It encourages them to speak up, get involved, and help shape decisions that affect their homes and communities—both within Focus Ireland and beyond.
