Job Purpose
The Project Finance & Procurement Support Officer will provide a comprehensive financial, procurement and administrative supports service to the Project Co-Ordinator and team of “The Common Ground Project”; a PEACEPLUS funded programme promoting community integration within and across communities in Northern Ireland and the border regions of the Republic of Ireland.
Key Objectives for the Project Finance & Procurement Support Officer
The role of Project Finance & Procurement Support Officer is a pivotal role within the Common Ground project. The Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations’ (NIFHA) is the lead partner of the project with seven delivery partners working within communities “on the ground” across NI and the 6 Border Counties of Rep of Ireland. The aim of the Common Ground project is to promote and improve community integration and create opportunities for sustained meaningful and purposeful contact across cultural and national identities within communities across Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland.
The key objectives of the post are:
- Deliver an effective and efficient support role in financial processing, procurement, accounting and claims administration for the Common Ground Project
- Work alongside Project Partners in securing the most cost-effective external services for their respective projects
- Deliver event organizing and general administrative support to Project Coordinator and Project Team
- Support Project Partners across their range of finance tasks and support and advise on their reporting systems
- Provide reports and communications to the Project Coordinator and the Project Governance and management structure, as required and in a timely fashion.
