A Code of Practice on the AHB Allocations Process has recently been published by the LGMA (Local Government Management Agency) following consultation with the ICSH, approved housing bodies and local authorities. The Code aims to establish a collaborative approach to AHB allocations and it is hoped that this will result in more consistent and effective processes around allocations and improve outcomes for all stakeholders.
The ICSH is hosting a one hour information session this Friday, July 22nd which is intended to introduce the Code of Practice to ICSH members, highlight the benefits of using it from both an AHB and LA perspective and outline how the Code should be used. As well as ICSH input, we will hear from Alison O’Gorman, Director of Housing Services, Tuath Housing and Maurice Manning, Director of Services – Housing with Cork County Council.
