Clann is committed to providing age-friendly independent housing and services for people in housing need all over Ireland.
Clann’s Baile an Rí scheme in Ballinasloe, Galway has a convenient central location within easy pedestrian access to main shops and the town centre. Public transport is close by allowing residents to go about their daily lives with ease.
Each home in Baile an Rí has been sustainably built to universal design standards, allowing residents to age in place and stay living in their own community for as long as possible. Clann works in partnership across national and local government, community support, and various charitable organisations to deliver excellence in service across a broad range of resident supports.
Baile an Rí fosters a strong sense of community, while also providing privacy and security. Residents are supported by a dedicated Scheme Manager and Clann’s out of hours emergency call system.
To promote wellbeing in the home, residents have access to raised planters to allow them grow flowers or vegetables. This was considered a lifeline for residents when cocooning throughout the pandemic. One resident commented “Living at Baile an Rí has changed my life for the better so much – I am living now.”
