The historic Bolands Mills site is home to 46 discounted rent apartments for key workers. The apartments are set across two blocks on Barrow Street, Dublin 4: 10 x 3 bed apartments, 35 x 2 bed apartments, and 1 x 3 bed penthouse and a communal space on the top floor of one block
This site operated as a flour mill in the 1800s and became a focal point for the 1916 Easter rising, cementing its historical value. The mill and the wider dock are part of a €150m redevelopment of Google offices, residential, retail and civic spaces. Google sought proposals for the management and maintenance of a discounted rent housing scheme for a 25-year period to provide affordable housing to key workers who live or work in the immediate area surrounding Bolands Mills. Clúid submitted a robust and detailed proposal and was selected as the successful partner in November 2022.
