This development on a brownfield site at Rathbeale Road, replaced a former Fingal County Council operations depot with 11 modern apartments: four 1-bed, four 2-bed, and three 3-bed units, designed to universal design guidelines. This variety supports a wide range of households and encourages intergenerational living. A key feature is a communal west-facing garden that offers households a shared outdoor space to connect and relax. All homes are adaptable to meet the needs of older tenants and those with medical requirements, allowing families to live comfortably as needs change. Two units were specially modified for tenants with specific medical needs, reinforcing the project’s inclusive approach.
The building rises two to three stories, minimising its impact on neighbouring properties. The site benefits from excellent public transport and is 1.2 km from Swords Main Street. Nearby shops, church, health centre, senior social centre, and Swords Cultural Quarter make it convenient for older residents and those with mobility challenges, while also serving families with easy access to amenities.
