The St Brigid’s development has dramatically transformed the main thoroughfare into Cavan Town, demolishing eight derelict 1930s homes to make room for 20 sleek, modern, and energy efficient social homes in two blocks. Visitors to the town and residents alike are united in their appreciation of the modern design, which stands in stark contrast to the previous dereliction, revitalising the area’s appearance, while remaining sympathetic to its surroundings.
Overlooking Cavan’s GAA heartland, Kingspan Breffni Park, these ten one-bed units and ten two-bed units have reinvigorated the area, providing much-needed homes in a convenient, accessible location, making optimal use of the .38 acre site, and providing a welcome boost to commercial activity in the town centre. Delivered to an exceptionally high standard by local firm Crosserlough Construction, this €6m investment has changed the lives of its new residents and helped to support local jobs.
