The Role
The successful candidate will review and lead those activities as outlined in the job description and person specification alongside the reporting sub functions, in aligning with and meeting the strategic goals of the organisation. The potential candidate will need to demonstrate that they possess the competencies and experience to manage the technical (Budgetary, Financial, Risk Management, Procurement, and Regulatory competences); Project Management, Change Management as well the operational and people management aspects of this role, particularly within any change management challenges that may be involved.
Primary Function
The primary function of the Facilities Lead is to be responsible for the management of the respective facilities, housing, services/supports sub functions, ensuring that capabilities and activities of the functions, and that the department activities align to and meet the strategic goals of the organisation.
This role will report to the Financial Controller and will also support the Senior Management as necessary in the effective management and development of all aspects of facilities & housing. This role will take responsibility and accountability for the existing programmes, ensuring that each of the subfunctions and the function contribute creatively and positively to SHS Strategic plan. The role requires demonstrated competence and excellence particularly in planning, organisational, communication, budget management, procurement, understanding of value for money and negotiation skills, as well as competence within all stages of the property development project management, related regulatory requirements, permits submissions and the effective management of processes from planning, to design through to delivery of housing, or supports with thorough documentation and SMT reporting involved.

Location: SHS, Southern Cross House, Wurzburg Road Bray, Co. Wicklow or another SHS location, as necessary.
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Weekly working hours: Your normal weekly working week will run from Monday to Friday and the weekly working hours are 37 hours. Flexibility around these hours may be required from time to time. Lunch breaks are not paid.
Contract Period: Specified purpose
