CHI’s ‘Improving Warmth and Wellbeing’ programme has seen the retrofit of several different types of dwellings. Works completed as part of phase one of the programme were on 52 apartments in Dublin City Centre.
Newcourt, a development of 57 apartments in Dublin city centre, is the latest scheme to be retrofitted as part of the programme. The apartments are a mixture of one-bed and two-bed homes in a minimalist redbrick nap plaster and architectural glazing four-storey building overlooking New Street in Dublin 8.
Previous learning from retrofitting other CHI developments was applied to the deep energy upgrades of Newcourt, which began in January 2023 and was completed in June. As part of works, households received new windows, doors, insulation and were fitted with air-to-water heat pumps and new radiators to improve comfort.
