Housing Manager, Property, Dublin

The purpose if this role is to lead and manage a staff team in the provision of the Housing Management and Maintenance service in your area of responsibility.

Team Development and Management
- Lead, develop and manage team performance through effective supervision, training, coaching and performance management, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, health and safety requirements, and organisational policies.
- Drive strategic objectives through strong leadership, fostering a high-performing, motivated team culture while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and service enhancement.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee staff rotas, work assignments and maintenance schedules to ensure efficient service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor team performance and KPIs, implementing action plans and addressing performance issues promptly and consistently in line with organisational procedures.
- Ensure all staff administration processes, including performance reviews, payroll, timesheets, rostering systems and change-of-status documentation, are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Contribute as an active member of the management team, participating in management meetings and supporting the strategic development of the organisation.
Administrative Management
- Establish and maintain effective administrative systems, ensuring all housing, tenancy and resident records are accurately maintained and updated within the Housing Management System (Affinity).
- Lead the response to property-related emergencies, ensuring incidents are managed effectively, risks are minimised and organisational procedures are followed at all times.
Housing Management & Maintenance
- Oversee housing management and maintenance services, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements, organisational policies and relevant legislation, while managing complaints, rent arrears, voids, property standards and contractor relationships.
- Ensure planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes are delivered effectively, with regular property inspections, timely completion of repairs and ongoing monitoring of housing quality standards.
Health, Safety & Organisational Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture by supporting compliance initiatives, policy implementation, training delivery and participation in Health & Safety committees, while upholding organisational values, confidentiality requirements and collaborative working practices.
What you will need:
- hird level qualification in Housing Management and Maintenance, Property or in another relevant area.
- Practical experience and understanding of social housing and the part Focus Ireland plays in this area.
- Proven leadership capability, drive and ambition with ability to take the initiative.
- Proven strong leadership capability with strong people management skills.
- 2-4 years relevant management experience
- Positive and proactive approach to dealing with diverse teams and functions.
- An understanding and/or experience of working with tenants who have experienced homelessness or been at risk of homelessness.
- Strong project management, budgeting and management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ie, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A team player with excellent attention to detail.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
