What’s the Story? Young Filmmakers Take to the Big Screen – PEACEPLUS Common Ground

Following What’s the Story? Filmmaking Camp in August, a diverse group of young people from across Donegal and Derry came back together at the end of September for a special screening of their two short films, The College and The Factory. The project brought young people from different backgrounds and experiences together through a shared interest in filmmaking.

Joined by family and friends, the screening was a chance to see their work on the big screen for the first time and celebrate the creativity, teamwork and effort that went into making the films. It was great to mark the occasion in the Radisson Blu Hotel and bring everyone together again after the summer project. The young people all spoke about much they had learned about the filmmaking process and how the experience had sparked a real interest in producing more of their own short films.

Through PEACEPLUS Common Ground, we’re looking forward to continuing our work with the group, building on their enthusiasm, and exploring where their creativity takes them next!
