Through PEACEPLUS Common Ground, ICSH, in partnership with Apex Housing, brought participants together in Moville, Donegal yesterday for the final showcase and celebration of the Craft, Culture & Connections project. Participants from the Sollus Centre in Bready, residents from Habinteg in Lifford and Taobh na Cille in Moville joined facilitators to celebrate the beautiful traditional crafts they had created over the past six weeks and reflect on their shared experiences.
For many, it was their first time trying their hand at traditional crafts, discovering new talents and skills and inspiring them to continue their creative journeys. But the project was about much more than craft. It was about bringing people from different communities together, sharing stories, learning from one another and, most importantly, forging new friendships and connections on a cross-community and cross-border basis. The day was a wonderful celebration of creativity, culture and the connections that bring us together!
