Consisting of 14 A rated two bedroom homes for older people in the village of Claregalway, Co. Galway, these homes are low maintenance, open plan with air to water heating. The community is a horse-shoe shape which encourages residents to communicate with their neighbours and “look out” for each other.
The Day Centre that supports the housing is situated at the front of the estate. The Centre provides socialisation services to older people and is open to residents if required. Support relating to personal matters is also provided. Other community groups provide bingo, card playing and active retirement activities at the centre, all of which are available to the residents.
