Leitrim County Council Expression of Interest (EOI)Manorhamilton June 2024

Leitrim County Council wishes to develop a housing scheme in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim and is seeking to appoint an Approved Housing Body to deliver the scheme.

The County Council is undertaking a competition for an Approved Housing Body to finalise the design, finance, build and operate a development on a private site at Glen Eoin, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim. The preliminary design of the proposed development has been completed and will provide for the construction of a 5-bedroom Group Scheme. The vision for the site is to provide group housing for young adults with disabilities currently residing in the Manorhamilton area. The proposed scheme will enable the residents to live independently with supports and to fully engage with the local community. The proposed location of the development is within reasonable distance of local services and supports.

Leitrim County Council is seeking an Approved Housing Body with the experience, delivery capability and management skills necessary to deliver this project. The second requirement is to successfully manage the development into the future in accordance with the requirements of the Capital Assistance Scheme programme, the Council’s allocation scheme, and the legislation / regulations applicable to AHBs. The H.S.E. may also be involved in providing funding for the support costs in the future to enable the future residents of the scheme to live independently with supports.
