Background and Context to Forum

Housing associations have played an important role in social housing provision within the county for a number of years. Recent changes in funding, regulatory structures and the requirements of stakeholders means that there is a desire among some associations to explore new opportunities within the sector for collaboration, shared service delivery and development.

This forum is being organised in partnership between Tipperary County Council and the Irish Council for Social Housing and will provide housing associations with an opportunity to:

·         Share knowledge of recent experiences and identify areas of possible opportunity and concern

·         Explore opportunities in areas such as collaboration, shared service delivery and new supply

·         Examine new mechanisms for delivery

·         Meet with other important stakeholders and receive updates on any relevant matters

The forum also gives an opportunity for Council staff to meet with housing association representatives. If you have any questions please contact Kevin Ryan on 01-6618334.
