May brought the delivery of twelve new homes at Woodfield, Blarney via the NARPS initiative. Túath worked in partnership with NAMA and Cork County Council to lease the properties for just under 21 years. The homes are currently being let to applicants from the Council’s housing waiting list.
Bronagh D’Arcy, Túath’s Director of Development stated; ‘The delivery of these spacious and lovely apartments represents Túath’s ongoing commitment to the NARPS initiative as a means of increasing the supply of social housing. We welcome the opportunities made available to the not for profit housing association sector via NAMA in areas of high demand such as this NARPS lease’.

Assisted Living Homes for Co. Louth
Túath completed the acquisition of its first congregational homes in Blackrock and Ardee, County Louth, in May 2014, using CAS funding provided by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government. These acquisitions included the purchase of two 5 bedroom bungalows in high demand residential areas to facilitate the Government’s objective of moving people with disabilities from institutions to homes of their own in the community. The Association worked with Louth County Council and St. John of God to allocate the homes. The tenants are now living together in their new homes as part of a congregated setting whilst receiving ongoing support from St. John of God, enabling them to live independently as part of their local community.
