The ICSH hosted a webinar for members on collaboration, which included the launch of its new guidance resource for members Building Partnerships, produced to assist AHBs that are considering their future options with the introduction of statutory regulation.
The webinar was chaired by ICSH President Pat Doyle, who is also Chief Executive of the Peter McVerry Trust and included inputs from Rory O’Leary, Principal Officer at Department Housing, Local Government and Heritage as well as a panel discussion on recent collaboration and consolidation initiatives which included Michael Haynes, Chief Executive Clanmil Ireland and Mary O’Doherty, Manager with Voluntary Housing Support Services. The webinar featured a presentation on some of the legal considerations in transferring assets to another AHB by Fidelma McManus, Head of Housing, Beauchamps.
Building Partnerships has been designed to promote better collaborative working between AHBs. Collaboration could be organisations working together to share services, considering the transfer of stock, or looking at merger opportunities between AHBs.
This webinar was for all ICSH members and interested stakeholders and particularly local authorities and those with an interest in engaging with smaller, larger or organisations of similar size, and was relevant to members organisations that wish to evaluate their future direction in the coming years.
